Quinoa, Butternut Squash & Feta Salad

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked super last minute to create some food tastings for a nutrition talk at a gym. I had an evening full of clients and the talk was on the next morning, so I really didn't have much time! I needed to make something quick, simple, nutritionally dense and …

8 Tips for New Yogis

I may be biased saying this, but the benefits of yoga are endless; not only can it be used to improve the physical aspects of the body, i.e. strength, flexibility and balance, but it can also be a great way to release stress, quieten the mind and develop a more positive outlook on life. Because …

Mental Health Awareness Week: You’re Not Alone

I know how anxiety, panic attacks and depression can make you feel so isolated; the irrational side of your brain convinces you you're the only person in the world to be experiencing these thoughts and feelings. The more I read memoirs, watch interviews, listen to podcasts and talk to people about mental health, the more …

5 Positive Things I Have Discovered in the Past Year

As a new age approaches, I've been reflecting on the highs and lows of my 22nd year on Earth; the new experiences I have had and discoveries I have made. There are a few key things I've found in the past year that have really had a positive impact on my wellbeing, mentally and physically. …

Aubergine, Tomato and Harissa with Chickpea Pasta

This dish is packed full nutrients from the veggies, protein from the chickpea pasta and warmth from the harissa (a Tunisian chilli and red pepper paste). Perfect for a quick and easy lunch, dinner or you could even make a batch of it and store it in the fridge for the next couple of days.  YOU WILL NEED: Approximately …

5 Positive Podcasts

Over the last couple of months in particular, I have really gotten into podcasts, perhaps because I spend a lot of my day walking to and from gyms and studios where I train clients and teach classes! I believe podcasts can be really helpful; whether you use them for entertainment, education or even comfort if …

In Shape My Shape Campaign

“Health, just like houseplants and Tupperware, comes in all shapes and sizes” - WomensHealth Like so many of us, body image is something I’ve always been very aware of, but since becoming a personal trainer and working with different physiques on a daily basis, I’ve come to realise how unique we all are, how 'healthy' …

Spiced Sweet Potato, Red Pepper and Halloumi Salad

I don't eat cheese that often, but halloumi is one of my absolute favourites. Its salty flavour works so well with the sweetness of the potato and the peppers in this salad. I made this on a warm sunny evening, and ate it outside with my family. These are the best kind of moments. YOU …

A FULL HEART💛after teaching a wintery yoga class for our event last night @emshealthykitch with a new group of lovely people, who I then got the chance to sit and chat to over a delicious dinner 🙌🏼 This is one of my absolute favourite things about yoga...how it welcomes everybody, encourages community and unites people from all walks of life
2 TICKETS LEFT for our Christmas Yoga Supper Club, next Wednesday 19:00-21:30 @emshealthykitch ✨ Join us for a cosy evening of candlelit yoga, food @plentifull_ and festive music. Book via Eventbrite (link in bio)🎄
SLOW🌸 “In a world of super fast everything, where speed is a desired commodity. We slow down.” - @skinalchemists. Skin Alchemists is an independent company who produce multifunctional oils made from organic and unrefined ingredients, consciously sourced from small farms. Recently I have been using their Humble Warrior oil in my yoga classes, placing a little on students’ foreheads during Savasana to enhance their relaxation. Humble Warrior can also be used as a face serum, hair/scalp/beard oil, massage oil, cutical oil, after sun...so many things! The idea behind this being “bathroom minimalism”, i.e. reducing the number of products we buy that are full of chemicals and packaged in unrecyclable plastic. We’ve kindly been gifted some samples and a 20% discount code for everyone attending our Christmas Yoga Supper Club next week😍 3 spaces left, link in bio.
Change is the only constant in life”✨ Around 18 months ago I was stuck in bed with a particularly bad flare up of an old gymnastics injury from yeaaaaars ago. I had orange tape strapped around my back, I was living off Ibuprofen and feeling sorry for myself bc Google had convinced me I was probably going to die. The idea of doing any kind of backbends terrified me 🙅🏻‍♀️ With time, patience and consistent practise (and the magical people @teambuckleyphysio)...my back started to ease. It now feels the best it has in done in years, my confidence has grown and I am in a place where I’m exploring the world of backbends again for the first time in about 10 years. Our bodies are constantly changing and developing; it can be really frustrating when we are faced with injury, but rather than fighting it (the stress will only add fuel to the fire) or ignoring it and just pushing through, try to work with it; accept where you are right now but be open minded to change, have faith in your body’s ability to heal🙏🏼
Feel good food to fuel the day😍
4 SPACES left for our Christmas yoga Supper Club! Join us for yoga, drinks, food and festive music on the 4th December, 19:00-21:30 @emshealthykitch ✨ Link in bio!

MY MOTIVE? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Why do I teach? A question I was encouraged to unpick on my most recent YTT a couple of months ago (pictured above, ft. @adogcalledcohen who I miss v much 🐶) So why?? Very simply, because each element of yoga (the physical, the psychological and the philosophical) has had a HUGE impact on my overall happiness. Because happiness is never decreased by being shared. Because seeing other people benefit from practising with me makes my heart feel so full. 🧡🧡🧡
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to two of my favourite yogis ✨ TB to where our teaching journey all began!
GRAZE 🍇 In between yogi duties, you’ll now see me working a lot more with @plentifull, creating grazing tables for events all around the South East, eeeeee 😍 My introduction to the wellness industry actually all began when I was an assistant chef @emshealthykitch 5 years ago, where I learned a lot about making meals out of good quality ingredients. I have continued to develop my foodie skills over the years, and I’m so happy to be back creating tasty feasts for people as part of my job again. I truly believe food can be a magical thing...it not only affects our bodies and minds, but it also brings people together✨ On top of that, @plentifull and I are also collaborating on an event this December...a Christmas Yoga Supper Club! Limited tickets only, link in bio ☝🏼
