Interval training, or HIIT, is a technique in which you do short, sharp bursts of exercise followed by a period of rest. It’s great way to improve your CV fitness and use
up a high number of calories without spending hours on a treadmill (which some people love but I can’t stand). It’s been proven to increase your metabolism, burn fat and the best thing? There are so many variations you can do meaning you’ll be consistently challenging your body and never get bored!
Most of the classes I teach are based on interval training too, so I’m used to making up different circuit combinations.
Below is a video of a HIIT circuit I did last week, why not give it a go!
The aim is to do each exercise as fast as you can for 30 seconds, resting for 10-15 seconds between each one depending on your level of fitness.
- Kettlebell swings.
X 5 sets (15 rounds in total)
